The Ceremony of Signing the Agreement with the Consulting Companies

In order to achieve clean water supply and safe waste water collection and treatment in the villages of Ajara, “Ajara Water Alliance” signs the agreement with two German consulting companies - MACS and Fichtner selected through the international tender procedure.

The programme Ajara Semi-urban and Rural Water Supply and Waste Water systems will be implemented by two consulting companies: Implementation Consultant and the Implementation and Accompanying Measures Consultant.

Implementation Consultant is responsible for preparation of engineering-design documentation followed with implementation of works. The tender in this direction was awarded to Fichtner.

The Implementation and Accompanying Measures Consultant is responsible for providing technical and institutional support to “Ajara Water Alliance” and the municipalities. The tender in this direction was awarded to company MACS.

The programme - Ajara Semi-urban and Rural Water Supply and Waste Water Systems-is to be launched through the cooperation among the Georgian Government, KfW bank and the EU.
